Tamas Biro

President, Firef., Alpinist

Father of three children, electrician, workaholic. He likes cycling and hiking in the mountains, from his home in Szokolya he often goes to Nagy-hideg-hegy on foot or by bike. He grew up in Börzsöny, spent a lot of time on the mountain as a child, and since then he has been trying to spend as much time as possible and make his children fall in love with this way of life.

Laszlo Gyulai

Vice-president, Firef., First-Aid

He spent a lot of time in the Slovenian and Austrian Alps on rafting and klettersteig tours, but he also likes simple trekking. He moved from Budapest to the countryside because of his love for Börzsöny, so that it would be easier to reach his favorite places either alone or with his dogs. Its natural habitat is the tent, its favorite foods are soup and sports bars.

Felix Irimie

Vice-president, Firef., Alpinist, First-aid

In civilian life, he is a ship captain and the father of two children. He grew up in the Carpathians and spent his time in caves as a child, but he became a fully civilized adult. He constantly terrorizes the team with his nagging while trying to bring order to the life of the organization. He commutes from Budapest to Börzsöny, and when he is not on duty, his favorite hiking spots are Ökör-orom and the Csarna valley.

Daniel Ziegenheim

Appears very modest, quiet, yet jumps in among the first when needed... In civilian life, an IT professional, but an enthusiastic rock climber, one of our team's accomplished mountaineers. Has a sharp sense of humor, but once you get used to it, you'll really miss it if there's been a week without a witty remark.

No one knows the Börzsöny mountains better than him. He grew up there and devoted his entire life to it. A true veteran who competed in international mountain rescue competitions when most of our team were still attending elementary school... A great team player who has proven in action that age doesn't matter, always among the first to jump when we receive an alert.

Graphic artist and Mom. She spent most of his childhood on trees, from there he continued to climb rocks. She is a manic camper, but he often spends his free time in traffic jams. Sometimes it gets lost underground in caves, but you can always lure it out with a bottle of good wine. That's why she's really in his element up high. Commuting to Borzsony from the outskirts of Budapest

His love of nature has taken him on several long trips from Scotland to Georgia, from Spain to Ireland. In recent years, he often mingles in the hidden corners of Börzsöny, since he regularly resides in the Danube Bend and the region. Ever since Kurt Vonnegut's writings, he has held volunteer firefighters in high esteem, and his long-time wish has come true with the volunteer firefighter qualification obtained. He is familiar with health, alpine and other professional knowledge at a basic level.

When he don't serve in the mountains he serve as a soldier, trainer of the Hungarian Army. When he's not training soldiers, he's training members of our organization... Father of two children, enthusiastic rock climber, mountaineer, hiker. He runs a climbing wall in Szokolya, where he also teaches children. He visits Börzsönyt from Verőce, and his favorite hiking spot is of course the Bajdázó neighborhood.

Is his work his hobby, or is his hobby his work?! However it is, he's darn lucky, that's for sure. And when he's not working, or rather, not indulging in his hobby, he's surely wandering through the forests of the Börzsöny, kayaking on the waves of the Danube Bend, or pedaling towards another active day on his bike.

A modern savage who has been messed with by civilization. His work is everything Suzuki. No child, yes dog. He enthusiastically researches the abandoned Börzsöny gold mines. His favorite place of pilgrimage is around the Kovács stream.
