Initial information regarding the casualty’s location was contradictory, so the Ambulance Service dispatched two ambulances: one approaching from Nagyb\u00f6rzs\u00f6ny and the other from the direction of K\u00f3spallag.\\n\\nMeanwhile, the Mountain Rescue Service’s duty operations coordinator alerted the mountain rescuers on standby at the Szokolya base and attempted to establish contact with the casualty and the other members of the group.\\n\\nThe Mountain Rescue Service uses specialised incident management software which, among other functions, allows a location request to be sent directly to a mobile phone via SMS. At the same time, the operations coordinator coordinated the response with the Hungarian National Ambulance Service. As there was no longer a need for two ambulances, it was agreed that the unit approaching from K\u00f3spallag would proceed to \u00c9rsek-tiszt\u00e1s, where the mountain rescue team would hand over the casualty.\\n\\nThe mountain rescuers reached the casualty approximately 30 minutes after setting off. They were able to drive part of the way up the mountain in the off-road vehicle, but the final 180 metres could only be covered on foot.\\n\\nThe team’s emergency medical technician examined and treated the casualty, who was suspected to have sustained a serious lower-leg injury.
