For one and a half hours, train services were suspended between Vác and Diósjenő because a large tree had fallen onto the railway tracks and power lines in the Magyarkút area. On Sunday early afternoon, the Pest County Disaster Management also alerted the Börzsöny Special Rescue and Volunteer Firefighters Association, and the mountain rescuers on duty at Királyrét quickly arrived at the scene of the incident.
Using a battery-powered chainsaw (many thanks to the donors who contributed to its purchase), the mountain rescuers started cutting up the fallen tree. Subsequently, when the professional firefighters from Vác arrived, the mountain rescuers assisted them in fully clearing the railway tracks. During the clearance operation, the train remained waiting nearby. The professional and volunteer firefighters were able to complete the task at around three o'clock in the afternoon.
