The firefighters and paramedics were able to park at the Sejce limestone quarry, from where the Börzsöny Mountain Rescue Service's off-road vehicle transported them to within about 200 meters of the injured person, who was located on the National Blue Trail (OKT).

The middle-aged man, a trail runner, explained that he had slipped on the muddy terrain, causing his ankle to twist. Paramedics stabilized his injured ankle, and with the help of the Vác professional firefighters, he was transported using a specialized mountain rescue stretcher to the off-road vehicle, which then carried him to the waiting ambulance.
