Around 2:00 PM on Saturday, a distress call came in via the Börzsöny Mountain Rescue Service SOS hotline, reporting that a woman had broken her ankle in the Remete Valley, near the "Ruins of the Upper Funicular Station", close to the Remete Caves.
The mountain rescue duty officer immediately alerted the on-call rescuers, as well as the Nagymaros Volunteer Firefighters, the Kismaros Volunteer Firefighters, and the National Ambulance Service.

Four members of the Börzsöny Mountain Rescue Service, along with two firefighters from the Nagymaros Volunteer Fire Department and three firefighters from the Kismaros Volunteer Fire Department, rushed to the scene.
They gathered at the usual rendezvous point near the Dömös Crossing, where they also met with the National Ambulance Service personnel who had arrived on-site.

From there, the rescue teams set out on foot, reaching the injured woman within fifteen minutes. She had suffered a fracture in her left ankle, which the mountain rescuers stabilized with a splint.
Using a specialized mountain rescue stretcher, they transported her down to the waiting ambulance on Highway 12.
The paramedics then transported the injured woman to Vác Hospital for further medical care.
