Something amazing happened to us: we got an incredibly cool drone – a DJI Matrice 4T, equipped with a thermal camera, infrared, zoom, and all kinds of next-level technology. It’s a true marvel of engineering with long flight time, highly advanced software, a loudspeaker, and a powerful searchlight – we honestly couldn’t wish for anything better.
Along with the drone, we received multiple batteries, a video transmission system, chargers, and all the accessories needed. Thanks to this, the Börzsöny Mountain Rescue Service has now set up a dedicated drone unit, which can be deployed anywhere together with the drone and its gear, satellite internet, computers, AI-powered search software, monitors – everything needed to establish a drone operations center and/or a mobile command post.
While our primary goal is using it for search and rescue operations, this drone will also be a huge asset in supporting professional fire brigades during large wildfires and in many other emergency scenarios.
The purchase of the drone and its accessories was made possible thanks to the generous support of the Pro Filii Foundation, in the amount of 3,385,010 HUF, for which we are deeply grateful ❤. This support has allowed us to strengthen the work of our mountain rescue service with a modern, rapidly deployable technological unit – enabling us to save lives and respond even more effectively to emergencies.
