The Danube-Ipoly National Park ( DINPI ) will celebrate its 25th anniversary in 2022. On this occasion, DINPI organized a performance tour on October 22 in the West-Börzsöny mountains, which was attended by 150 participants. The first-aid service was provided by members of the Börzsönyi Mountain Rescue Service on the entire distance of the 25 kilometers. Two of our mountain rescue members accompanied the hikers on foot with basic medical equipment on the Zebegény section of the tour (Zebegény - Dobozi pass - Miklós Lili pihenő - Szent-Mihály saddle), and a off-road motorized team was on duty on the section between the Nagymaros - Pálos monastery. The tour started at eight o'clock in the morning and the last participants arrived at the finish line around six o'clock in the afternoon - a little tired and wet due the rains, but full of wonderful experiences. Employees of the Danube-Ipoly National Park awaited the tired hikers with food and drink at the community center of Nagymaros. Everyone completed the performance uninjured, so there was no need to deploy mountain rescuers.
