The rescue team had just returned from an earlier rescue near Nagymaros, cleaned and restocked their rescue vehicle, and were driving back to their base in Szokolya when they came upon a road traffic accident.
At the intersection of Liget Street and Mátyás Street in Kismaros, a passenger car had collided with two teenagers riding electric scooters. Both riders had been thrown to the ground. One boy suffered a head injury, while the other appeared to have sustained minor leg injuries. The mountain rescue medical team immediately began treating both casualties until two ambulances from the Hungarian National Ambulance Service arrived. After receiving initial medical care, both patients were transported to Bethesda Children's Hospital in Budapest for further examination and treatment.

While the casualties were still being handed over to the ambulance crews, the Hungarian National Ambulance Service requested assistance with another emergency at a guesthouse in Kisirtáspuszta. The mountain rescuers packed up immediately and responded without delay, where they found a man who had suffered multiple episodes of unconsciousness.
The rescue coordinator arranged a rendezvous with the ambulance crew at the Szent Orbán Inn, and an ambulance was dispatched to that location. After stabilising the patient, the mountain rescuers transported him in their rescue vehicle to the meeting point, where he was handed over to the ambulance crew for transport to Vác Hospital.

While that rescue operation was still underway, the Börzsöny Mountain Rescue Service received another request for assistance. The Pest County Police and the Pest County Search and Rescue Service reported that several hikers had become lost in the Börzsöny Mountains.
Using the mountain rescue service's specialised incident management system, the dispatcher sent an emergency SMS to the hikers' mobile phone, allowing their exact location to be determined. Another mountain rescue team was deployed from home standby in Szokolya and located the hikers near Szabó Meadow, before safely transporting them back to an inhabited area.

Both of these operations were still in progress when yet another request for assistance arrived. The Hungarian National Ambulance Service requested help in Zebegény, where paramedics were attempting to evacuate a patient with a leg injury from a wooded area to the nearest road.
As all available mountain rescue teams were already committed elsewhere, the incident commander requested assistance from the Nagymaros Volunteer Fire Brigade. Fortunately, before additional resources arrived, local residents helped the ambulance crew carry the patient safely to the waiting ambulance.
By 8:00 p.m., the Börzsöny Mountain Rescue Service had handled five separate incidents, including three running simultaneously. Four required direct intervention by the mountain rescue service, while the fifth incident in Zebegény was successfully resolved with the assistance of local civilians before additional rescue resources became necessary.
