Injured person at the Julianus Lookout (2023.05.29.) - julianus kilato

On Monday at 12:30 pm, hikers requested help through the Börzsöny Mountain Rescue Service SOS hotline. An elderly lady had taken a misstep and suffered an ankle injury at the Julianus Lookout, and even with the support of her family, she couldn't continue her journey on her own. Since the mountain rescuers could have set out from Szokolya, the service operator opted to notify the Nagymaros Volunteer Fire Department for a shorter response time. The colleagues from Nagymaros and the Vác Professional Fire Department immediately set out to the scene, and the Nagymaros Volunteer Fire Department's off-road vehicle arrived at the location barely forty minutes later. The elderly lady was transported by the off-road vehicle to Kövesmező, from where her relatives took her to the hospital for further examination and treatment.

Within a week, the Börzsöny Mountain Rescue Service and the Nagymaros Volunteer Fire Department worked together for the second time to rescue hikers in the Börzsöny Mountains.
