The man whose vehicle rolled into the stream in Királyrét on Friday late afternoon called the 112 emergency hotline. Following the alert, units from the professional fire department in Vác, the Nagymaros Volunteer Fire Department, and the Börzsöny Mountain Rescue Service were dispatched to the scene.
Upon arrival, the man told the responding units that the vehicle rolled away while he was packing, and he couldn't stop it. The minibus rolled straight from the parking lot into the Szén Stream.
Fortunately, there were no personal injuries in the accident. The owner of the vehicle hired a towing company for the recovery, so the vehicle is likely to be removed and transported early Saturday morning.
