The Nagy-hideg-hegy Tourist House is expected to be closed for renovation from May 1, 2024, until autumn!
We would like to draw the attention of hikers that from May 1, 2024, there will be no water intake possibility (!) on Nagy-Hideg-hegy, at least not for the next few weeks. As far as we know, DINPI will try to provide a temporary water intake opportunity until the renovated house opens, but until then, we ask every hiker to ensure an adequate supply of drinking water! If possible, refill your water supplies with enough drinking water at the beginning of the hike.
In the Nagy-Hideg-hegy area, drinking water can be obtained from the following springs:
